The first NCAA football ranking is out for the upcoming season. As expected, Alabama is considered the best team in the nation as we begin the 2010 season. The Tide will simply have to win out in order to secure a berth in the National Title game.
Most of the usual suspects appear in the top ten but there are two new faces in there as well. Boise State is ranked number five and TCU is ranked seventh to start the year. This puts both teams in a very tough spot entering 2010.
You certainly know the guy can’t hammer his drives, but he will hammer Jim Gray if he keeps putting his hand’s in the face of Pavin’s wife.

I am perfectly okay with Darelle Revis holding out for the entire season. I would be even more okay with him being traded to the NFC. For now, his holdout will have to do.
However, I don’t understand what he thinks he is accomplishing by staying away from Jets training camp. I got it, he is proving that he is a typical selfish athlete who thinks the parts are greater than the whole.
The NHL has overturned the obnoxiously enormous contract that the New Jersey Devils awarded to Ilya Kovalchuk.
Now the league is looking into every ludicrous deal that was agreed upon over the past couple seasons. Among the players whose deals are being reviewed are; Philadelphia’s Chris Pronger, Vancouver’s Roberto Luongo, Boston’s Marc Savard and Chicago’s Marian Hossa. It is officially football season. Of course, the Hall of Fame game is the most boring thing EVER.
Carson Palmer targeted his newest weapon, Terrell Owens numerous times during his short time on the field. T.O. had a pair of catches for 18 yards, his third reception was called back on a Chad Ochocino penalty. The Cowboys ground out the Bengals for a 16-7 win.
The Bills have finally agreed to terms with firs-round draft pick C.J. Spiller.
It is about damn time. This is the second year in a row that Buffalo’s first pick has been tardy for training camp.
In 2013 HSBC’s lease will run out at the HSBC Tower in downtown Buffalo. The corporation is looking at numerous options in and around the city in addition to remaining in the tower.
The tower is the tallest building in the city and dominates the skyline. It isn’t pretty but, its tall and is a valuable commodity to the city. One prospect that seems to be high on the bank’s list is a new build near the existing Atrium building across the street from HSBC Arena.
This choice is apparently contingent upon the city deeding a piece of property on the Webster block to the Erie Canal Development Corporation. They, in turn, would sell/lease/whatever the land to HSBC for the new build. I’m not positive, but I’m pretty sure the parking lot across from the Arena is involved in all of this too. Darcy Regier made some waves today, more waves than he has made in a 24-hour span in quite some time, in fact.He waived hometown kid Tim Kennedy before signing veteran defenseman Shaone Morrisonn.
Upon Tim Kennedy arriving to sign his new contract (recently awarded by an arbitrator) he was waived by the team. This move is beyond surprising for a couple of reasons.
